Cheerleader Birthday Card

Making this "Free Standing Pop-up Card" was so much fun, I love working with pink, black and white.  This cheerleader reminds me of when I was a Pop Warner cheerleader in the 60's, what great memories it brings back.

Football Theme Birthday Card

Any young football enthusiast would love to receive this adorable football inspired birthday card.  The Green Bay Packers was the inspiration for the color scheme used, I love the bright colors and the cute paper doll football gear.  This card may inspire you too, to make a football themed card for your favorite guy.

Cut paper doll at 4", Cut goal post at 5"
Paper supplies:

  • White Card Stock - Base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
  • Recollections-Green Pinstripe 8 1/2 x 5 1/4
  • Bazzill-Evergreen (shirt, helmet and green stripe 8 1/2 x1/2)
  • Bazzill-Desert Marigold (pants, helmet and yellow stripe 8 1/2 x 1 1/4 and border for phase 3 1/2 x 1 1/4)
  • GP-White Cardstock (helmet, white stripe 8 1/2 x1/4 and border for phrase 3 1/4 x 1)
  • Black Cardstock (shoes)
  • Brown Cardstock (hair, football and goal post)

Take a Deep Breath

Take a deep breath .... and relax.  This card was inspired by my own life recently and it reminds me to keep breathing and let go of all the stress we put on ourselves. I hope it inspires you to close your eyes, take a deep breath and let go of todays problems for just a moment.  Allow yourself for some creative time, it will put a smile on your face and help you relax, it works for me.
Card Size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Supplies:
  • Base Card: White 10 x 8.5 (fold in half)
  • Blue: 51/4 x 4, embossed
  • Purple: 3 x 2 3/4, 2 3/4 x 14/16
  • White: 2 1/2 x 10/16 ( for sentiment)
  • Pattern: 2 3/4 x 2 1/2, cut twice (one for base layer and one for masking)
  • Paper flowers, brad, stickles, colored pencils, embossing folder, stamped image
Stamp image on card white cardstock, and again on pattern paper (cut out shirt or pants)
Stamp sentiment on white paper
Color in image and glue shirt, pants or both to image color stamped image
Emboss blue paper and adhere to base of card
Adhere sentiment to purple cardstock
Adhere pattern paper to purple cardstock, stamp image to pattern paper and attach to blue embossed paper.
Place brad through first and second paper flower and attach to right corner of stamped image and finally attach sentiment below stamped imaged.
For a touch of sparkle, apply sticklers to the shirt.
